Chan Kwak / Lead Pastor

While attending USC School of Architecture, Chan shared the gospel with more than 1,500 students and discipled hundreds of students to follow Christ. Upon hearing such testimony, a God-fearing businessman from the East Coast decided to fully support Chan's seminary education and his vision of evangelism and discipleship. Utilizing both of the degrees that God has entrusted to him, he has co-planted the Church of Joy in Koreatown, Los Angeles, in September of 2009, pastoring the English congregants to be committed followers of Jesus Christ until March of 2018.

In April of 2018, he led and planted his second church in South Los Angeles, named One Church, with the vision of multi-ethnic and multi-generational worship of God. In December 2019, he joined the staff of the Evangelism Explosion (EE) Korean American Chapter and also served as a committee member for EE United States and EE International Congress.

Furthermore, he has been in the architectural industry as a senior project manager at Grace Partnership, Inc. since October 2008, managing various residential, commercial, industrial, and religious projects. Lastly, Chan is married to Su Jung and has 4 children, Cryschan, Nissi, Jireh, and Joy; Furthermore, God has blessed the family with 6 foster children, with 3 of them currently in their household.

Jason Cheung / Associate Pastor

Jason is married to Toni Fae and has 2 children, Zion and Aletheia. He received his Masters of Divinity degree from The Master's Seminary in 2018. Jason worked as a college ministry staff for Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru) from 2008 to 2015. From 2015 to 2018, he was an associate pastor at Church of Joy, located in Los Angeles Koreatown, where he served alongside Pastor Chan Kwak. Since 2018, Jason has been serving at LA One Church. Jason has also been a business manager at The Salvation Army: The Way In shelter since 2018. The greatest spiritual influences in Jason's life are: John MacArthur, J.C. Ryle, Thomas Watson, and Paul Washer.
